At the Bertram House we provide special care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Our Reminiscence Neighborhood offers a safe, secure and nuturing environment where residents take part in meaningful activities. Within this calm setting, residents are afforded the opportunity to make choices, participate in decision-making and enjoy the company, compassion, and support of family, neighbors and our dedicated staff. Life skills are maximized, personal histories are celebrated and laughter is abundant.

At Bertram House of Swampscott, we know that loving, compassionate care is the most important feature of a senior living residence.  We hire Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) as our Care Managers, giving you the piece of mind that there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day.  In addition, our Designated Care Managers work consistent assignments and build strong relationships with their residents and family members, ensuring top quality care.

Our Life Enrichment Managers are Geraldine Neistorowich and Kim Lezott.  Geraldine joined our team as the full-time Life Enrichment Manager in 2018, after having previously worked with a human services agency and spending many years volunteering with the Special Olympics.  Kim joined us in 2013, and although she completed her Master's degree at Salem State University in 2018 and took a full-time job in her field of mental health counseling, she loves the residents so much that she decided to stay on with us one day a week.  The Life Enrichment Manager creates joy, meaning and purpose for our residents, through small group and one-on-one activities.  Geraldine and Kim learn the background of each resident and tailor programs based on their interests, work history, and life experiences.  One size most definitely does not fit all when designing activities for our Reminiscence residents, and Geraldine and Kim are dedicated to engaging each and every resident!
