Who was John Bertram?
Welcome To Our Neighborhood
Bertram House of Swampscott is located just one block from the ocean! The beach is a five minute walk, and our residents frequently enjoy the delightful sea breeze on our patios. Our community is built on the former site of the parking garage of the famed New Ocean House Hotel, which at one time hosted luminaries such as President John F. Kennedy, Lucille Ball, Babe Ruth, Herbert Hoover, and Sinclair Lewis. Using today's landmarks, you can find us right between the Swampscott Police Station and the new sports fields at Phillips Park.
